Liposuction is a cosmetic procedure used to remove stubborn fatty tissue from several areas of the body. With the help of liposuction in Mexico, patients can contour away excess fat and define their curves.
Which Areas Can Be Treated with Liposuction?
Liposuction can be used to sculpt a number of regions, both large and small. Areas of treatment can include the abdomen, buttocks, back, chest, thighs, upper arms, knees, neck, and chin.
Am I a Good Candidate for Liposuction?
If you’re looking for a way to reduce excess fat quickly and effectively, you may be an ideal candidate for liposuction. Diet and exercise can create an overall reduction in fat, but when it comes to pockets of stubborn fat, it’s typically more effective to use liposuction for spot reduction.
The best candidates are non-smokers or those who are willing to quit several weeks before the procedure. They must continue to avoid smoking during recovery since smoking can result in a number of complications.
The Consultation
Patients interested in liposuction must arrange a consultation with Dr. Nashielli Torres Espinosa Chiu. During this consultation, you and Dr. Nashielli will discuss your cosmetic goals, and she will walk you through the details of liposuction.
Dr. Nashielli will examine the areas you would like reduced in volume, and photographs may be taken. She will also go over your complete medical history, including allergies, current medications, past procedures, and any pre-existing conditions. Feel free to ask any questions at this time.
If the procedure is right for you, Dr. Nashielli will create a surgical plan, and then a date will be set for your liposuction surgery.
The Procedure
At the start of liposuction surgery, local anesthesia with sedation is typically administered. When a larger volume of fat is being removed, general anesthesia may be necessary.
After the anesthesia has taken effect, tiny incisions are made in the targeted regions. A tube called a cannula is inserted into an incision. Excess fat is removed through the tube via medical suction.
The Recovery and Healing Process
Once your liposuction procedure is complete, your recovery process will begin. Rest will be necessary during this time.
You may notice a degree of swelling and bruising in the areas where excess fat was removed. These issues are only temporary and will fade over time. To help control swelling, patients must wear a post-surgical elastic garment for a time, which also helps the skin better fit the area’s new contours.
Time off from work may be necessary, and strenuous physical activities should be avoided to ensure proper healing. Once all swelling has faded, you will be able to see your full lipo results.
How Much Does Liposuction Cost?
The price of a lipo procedure depends on a wide variety of factors. Anesthesia fees, the exact techniques used, and the number of areas being reduced in volume can all affect the final cost of liposuction surgery.
